Who we are
Nordica Personalizer is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé). Questions about this policy or your data: mallory.berthome@gmail.com.
What the app stores
- Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin.
- Your templates: mockup image links, print areas, layers, prices, and the products, collections or tags they apply to.
- Shoppers’ designs: what a shopper typed or chose, the photo they uploaded, a preview image and the print files, kept with the order’s id and number. No names, emails, addresses or payment details.
- Your settings and your plan.
- Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
- Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.
What the app changes in your store
It creates one hidden product, “Personalization”, used to charge personalization prices at checkout, and a cart function that adds that price to personalized items. It saves its templates where your theme reads them, tags personalized orders and adds a link to their files on the order. It never changes your products’ prices or theme files.
Your customers
On the product page, a shopper’s photo and the preview are uploaded to our storage (Cloudflare R2) so you can print the order. They are stored under random names and are only reachable with a link: previews by their link, photos and print files only through signed links that expire. The text and choices travel in the order itself, as Shopify line item properties.
How long it is kept
- Designs that were never ordered: deleted after 3 days.
- Ordered designs and their files: deleted after the time you choose in Settings (90 days by default, 30 to 365).
- When Shopify asks us to erase a customer’s data, the designs of their orders are deleted at once. When you uninstall, everything is deleted 48 hours later, when Shopify asks us to erase your store’s data.
Who processes the data
Cloudflare hosts the app, its database and the files. Shopify provides the store data, runs checkout and payments, and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
